Most people use cosmetics and other personal care items without a second thought, believing the government makes sure they’re safe. Not so. No health studies or pre-market testing are required.
I am so excited to share this with everyone!
If you’ve been following my blog you know I love the consumer guides at The Environmental Working Group. They are a great and fast way to check if the products you use or are looking to buy have any toxic ingredients. Ever since finding this site I use it a lot and never buy a product without looking it up here first.
I’m really excited that now I won’t have to look up the site and type in in the product name when I’m out shopping. They’ve created an app where you can scan the bar code and get the product information instantly. This means next time I’m at a store I can easily find out which products to buy. It also has a regular search feature where you can look up products by type or brand.
Below you can find a copy of the email I received letting me know about this awesome app with the links for download on your iPhone or Android.
If you use their consumer guides as much as I do you’re going to want this app on your phone. It really makes it so much easier to decide what to product to buy.
