I have joked many times with my friends that when you give birth the hospital should send you back home with your baby and an Instant Pot. When I had my first child we had to get a lot of take-out but by the time I had my second I knew about the Instant Pot and we basically survived those first rough months eating Instant Pot meals.
What I love about it is that you can put a frozen chicken directly in the pot and have it ready in 20 minutes or less. Plus you don’t have to worry about food burning; you put all the ingredients in the Instant Pot, close it and walk away. It will let you once the food is ready to eat!
It has become a staple in my home because we don’t always have time to cook and sometimes I’m just tired, so I love just dumping ingredients in the pot and not having to worry about it.
The Instant Pot is not all about making meals but you can also make desserts and even jams. We don’t eat jam too often but my kids do love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I started experimenting with making jam in the Instant Pot because I didn’t want to buy the store kind that contain preservatives and I wanted to use organic fruits/berries.
You’re not going to believe HOW EASY it is to make jam and you won’t have to worry about burning it!
This recipe is made with strawberries but you can follow these directions to make jam with other fruits and berries.

Directions:
Turn Instant Pot to sauté and pour in the raw honey. Let the honey melt until it can be easily stirred. If you’re using regular honey it won’t need melting so just heat it up a bit. Then add the strawberries.
Bring the strawberries to a boil. When the bubbles around the strawberries turn pink (like pictured below) put on the lid and turn the pressure valve to sealing.
Cook on high pressure using the manual setting for 3 minutes. Once done, let the pressure naturally release. Remove the lid and mash the strawberries.
Then turn the Instant Pot to sauté to boil off excess liquid. When the jam coats the back of the spoon it is ready.
Pour the jam into an airtight container.
Leave the lid off until it cools to room temperature. Once cool, put on the lid and store in the refrigerator.
Now you have organic strawberry jam without preservatives ready in just a few minutes. It’s so tasty you will have a hard time not eating it all!
Try this recipe with other berries and fruit, it comes out great.

Can this be canned?
Carolina says
I am not sure…I don’t do canning but since this doesn’t use sugar, I’d be worried about canning it since it wouldn’t last as long.
Esther says
Couldn’t you can this recipe in a water bath after making in the insta pot? Is it safe without the sugar?
Carolina says
Hi Esther, I personally don’t do canning so I’m not sure. We usually whip this up and eat it pretty quick.
