I finally sat down and decided it was time to blog again. I took an unexpected break from blogging because a lot was going on in our lives.
If you’ve been following my blog, you know we took a 10 week trip to Europe. It was an amazing experience but when we got back here it meant we had to look for a place, sign a lease, move in and buy all the stuff we needed for our new place.
A while back I had said we were moving to Portland, Oregon, unfortunately we’re not anymore. My husband’s business needs him here and let’s face it, money talks. I’m a stay at home mom and we need to be where he’s best equipped to provide for our family and for now, that is D.C. We had sold most of our stuff in order to make this move from east coast to west coast and when we decided to stay here this meant we had to buy pretty much everything! So it’s been a crazy time shopping, restocking, unpacking and furnishing our new apartment.
However, as time consuming as all of this sounds, that is not the reason why I took a break from blogging. The real reason is that I’m pregnant!!!! I can’t even begin to tell you how excited we are about this new addition to our family but unfortunately this pregnancy has been kicking my butt! Seriously! If I could lay in the couch all day and do absolutely nothing I would. I’m not going to lie, every chance I get I just sit on that couch and do nothing. Haha!
I had forgotten how rough first trimester is. I’m nauseous all the time – but on a good note I’m not throwing up all the time like I was with my daughter. It is still pretty rough. I can barely eat because food makes me so sick but at the same time I’m hungry all the time because I eat such small portions. I’m also constantly tired! I go to bed with my daughter and wake up with her, so I’m getting plenty of sleep but by the time her nap time comes I’m even more exhausted than her and I take a nap with her. My parents are in town right now helping us out and more than once I’ve had to take a nap while they watch her. Seriously I can’t believe I’m this tired! I’m looking forward to leaving this part behind. Kuddos to all the moms out there that are pregnant AND working. I would have probably gotten fired.
I’m now feeling a little better and our apartment is pretty much all set so I’m hoping to get back on the blogging wagon. I can’t promise anything since I’m not sure how I’m going to keep feeling but I missed blogging and I hope to keep up with it during this pregnancy. I’m almost 10 weeks pregnant (due early September) so I should be out of the crappy part of pregnancy soon.
Are there any mamas out there expecting too? Share your misery with me! Haha!
