When my daughter was a baby I used to carry a diaper bag with everything you could possibly imagine. My husband and I joked that it was like the Mary Poppins bag. Thankfully as she’s gotten older I need less things and my diaper bag has become lighter.
My go-to bag during the week is the JuJuBe Mini Be (pictured below) or the JuJuBe Be Light. I love them both because they’re really handy for toddler outings since they fit everything I need to carry plus it makes it easier to run after my daughter. On weekends, when we go out and I dress up, I still carry pretty much the same things but use a nicer diaper bag, my go-to for that are Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bags.
So what’s in my toddler diaper bag…?
- I carry a JuJuBe Be Quick with 3 diapers, a pack of wipes and a changing pad. I especially love this Kushies changing pad because it’s big – perfect size for a toddler and fits in the Be Quick. When I use the Petunia Pickle Bottom bags I carry this changing pad since it’s more compact.
- A stainless steel water bottle for me and a sippy or a Klean Kanteen for my daughter.
- My wallet. A while back I switched to this wallet. I love it because nothing can fall out of it and when I have to run a quick errand I can put my phone in it, zip it up and just take the wallet.
- Snacks! Lots of snacks. It seems my daughter is hungry all the time. I usually bring fruits, raisins, a KIND bar, a food pouch and some nuts. She won’t eat it all but she will eat different things depending on the day.
- A hand sanitizer. Although I try to wash our hands as our #1 option, when there isn’t a sink near by we use this hand sanitizer, followed by a wiping of hands with the water wipes.
- If we’re going out to eat I will bring one or two of her favorite toys, right now she’s loving this one and similar to this one.
If we’re gone for the entire day I do pack a few more toys and a change of clothes but that’s not a daily recurrence.
And that’s it! I’m so happy I can pack light…although it won’t last for long since our second daughter is due in a few months.
So what’s in your toddler diaper bag?
