July is finally gone and with that our lives in DC (for now). It was a crazy month for us. We had to pack up our house, since our lease was up, and pack for our 7 week vacation to Costa Rica.
I have to admit that even though taking a vacation while you’re not paying rent is a great idea, packing for this was a bit of a nightmare. I spent pretty much the entire month packing our house a bit at a time. It’s just not as fast and easy when you’re also taking care of a toddler but we managed. I’m not sure if I’d do this again…but my husband is convinced we will.
All our things are in storage and we’re now in Costa Rica. I’m pretty excited about being here since my daughter is old enough to appreciate the beauty of my country and because my mother in law and brother in law will be joining us soon for 10 days.
For the next 7 weeks I’ll be writing a weekly post about our adventures in Costa Rica. Maybe it’ll make you take a vacation here. It’s really a beautiful country with lots to offer. The perfect place for a family with kids – if you ask me.
If you decide to come or are wondering about what to do and prices, you can contact my friend, Wendy ([email protected]), she’s the owner of Tiquicia Expeditions and always gets us great deals. We booked all of our trips here through her. You can tell her you read about her on my blog so she can give you a better deal. 🙂
Looking forward to sharing more of our vacation in my favorite place on earth! 🙂
