I am one of those mamas that’s a bit obsessed in finding non-toxic options for whatever my daughter uses. I’m a little more laid back about it now (I don’t freak out if she’s playing with a Fisher Price toy anymore – yes, I am that mom! Haha!) but I still try to get non-toxic alternatives when possible, especially when it comes to something that will go into her mouth.
A while back I wrote about alternatives to plastic. I use glass and stainless steel when it comes to our family, whether we eat at home or on the go. I have tried different brands and types of dishware, silverware, bottles, sippies and so on. All my favorite ones, the one we use on daily basis, are mentioned in that post. However, I wanted to write a separate post about my all time favorite dishware set. Why? Because it is all you need and I love it!
When my daughter started eating solids I came across Untangled Living Anyware Collection. It’s a stainless steel dishware set that comes with a spoon, fork, plate, bowl and cup. You can get it in a Butterfly or Gecko design. I have to be honest, at first I thought it was pricey and didn’t buy it. Eventually I decided my daughter’s health was more important and took the plunge. Plus amazon has free returns so I figured if I didn’t like it I would send it back. Let me tell you, I love this set so much we now own two and it’s one of my favorite gifts to give to moms with kids that are about to start the solid food journey. It’s perfect, at least for me.
Why do I love and recommend this set?
As I mentioned, it comes with a spoon, fork, plate, bowl and cup. And that is really all a toddler needs. The only reason I bought 2 sets is because I like to have an extra one in case I don’t have time to do the dishes (yikes!) and because I take one with us when we go to grandma’s.
This set is made from food grade #304 stainless steel (18/8). This is the type of stainless steel you want to buy if you’re avoiding toxins in your kids’ lives. The stainless steel is thick and doesn’t feel as flimsy as other brands I tried. Some other dishes I bought feel like they could easily bend with a wrong move but not this one. It’s very durable and strong. We use it several times a day, every day and it still looks like new. I am pretty sure I’ll be sending my daughter to college with it! 😉
I had to contact the manufacturer because I was looking for a replacement bowl after my daughter lost one and to my surprise I got the reply from the owner – a mom! I love mom based business’s and this mom was very nice and friendly. No wonder this product is so great and made with such great quality.
So if you’re going to get something for your kids try the Untangled Living Anyware Collection dishware set. You won’t need to buy anything else so it’s well worth the price.
Do you have another non-toxic dishware set you love?
Disclaimer: I was NOT given this product for review nor do I work for this company. This set was purchased by me and I just wanted to share my findings with you. What’s written here is 100% my personal opinion. By buying from the links in this post I will get a very small commission (without this affecting the price you pay for the item) – you can see it as a contribution to help keep my blog running. Thanks! 🙂

Earlier this year we moved to a new place and got everything new. It took me weeks of research to decide what to buy and I understand how frustrating it can be. When it comes to my kids, this is what we use: https://mamainstincts.com/ditch-plastics-but-now-what/
However, when I was looking for dinnerware for us I couldn’t make up my mind. Did you know some dishes have lead in them? When I found out my main concern was to make sure lead was not it them. I ultimately decided to buy dishes from IKEA, since they are a European company their safety standards and quality control is better than the US one. I also preferred them because I have small kids which means stuff breaks often and I don’t want to spend hundreds replacing pricey dinnerware. I also didn’t find exactly what I was looking for so IKEA seemed like the best option.
I hope that helps!
