You're Invite to Experience YOUR #SummerOfJoy!
We live in a world where go-go-go is the norm,
where there isn’t enough time to get all things done,
where you are praised for working hard and doing more, more and more…
only to find yourself at the end of the day feeling drained and tired.
When was the last time you felt truly present in the moment,
joyful, fulfilled and that life was going in your favor?
If you can’t answer that immediately,
then I want to invite you to bring back the JOY in your life!
Why?
Because consciously choosing joy will transform the way you see and live your life, for the better.
Your ability to be present and find moments of joy is what creates long-term happiness.
Are you ready to feel happier, at peace, confident and fulfilled?
You know, it is NOT a coincidence you are here right now.
You are meant to be here, you are meant to choose joy, and find true happiness in your every day life. You are meant to transform your life with the Power of Joy.
Take charge of your life - This is YOUR #SummerofJoy
Take charge
Stop living on auto-pilot and doing things mindlessly, by habit, day after day.
This is your life, take charge of it!
Hit the pause button
Stop and smell the roses, seriously! Our lives are filled with joyous moments that we miss because we’re so caught up in the busyness of life. By pausing you create the space to be fully present.
Become aware
Joy doesn’t happen when you think about it in bed at night and realize “Oh, that was fun!”.
Joy is a state of being, joy is something you FEEL. Joy happens when you are fully present, open and AWARE.
Join the #SummerofJoy movement
Every day, this summer, purposely do ONE thing that brings you JOY and then share it on social media using the hashtags #SummerofJoy.
It’s really that simply! But, did you know that the majority of people feel they are too busy and realize when doing this challenge that they are not carving time out of their day to do ONE thing that truly brings you joy.
This is why I made this easy for you by creating guidelines and a simple way to keep yourself accountable during this challenge.
This #SummerofJoy challenge is happening between NOW and August 31st, 2019.
How to be a part of the #SummerofJoy movement:
1
Every single day you are going to pick a time when you are going to purposely do something that brings you joy. You can choose this time at the very last minute and it can be for as little or as long as you want to be but it must happen EVERY DAY.
2
Before you do your #SummerofJoy activity you must stop whatever you are doing, put your phone away, take 3 deep breaths and prepare yourself to fully immerse in the activity that will bring you joy today. Preparing yourself puts you in the right mindset and sets the right emotions for your #SummerofJoy experience.
3
You have to be fully present, open and aware of everyone and everything around you. Notice every single thing, especially your emotions as they are the language of your soul.
Let yourself be free of judgement, worries and just immerse yourself in that moment. Be fully present.
4
Your #SummerofJoy activity must happen every single day. It doesn’t matter if you’re working 20 hours a day or on vacation.
Do ANYTHING, small or big, that brings you joy. This is your #SummerofJoy, do what makes YOU happy, not anyone else.
Choosing joy and feeling joy is a conscious decision you make every day.
5
Keep yourself accountable. It is too easy to fall back into our routines, the busyness of life and forget to truly enjoy life.
The whole point of this challenge is that you start doing more things in your life that bring you joy so it becomes part of your new normal. Find out how to keep accountable:
Keep yourself accountable!
If you made it to here, it means this challenge speaks to you! But we all know that accountability is key when creating new habits in your life.
This is why I want you to commit to this challenge publicly and here’s how:
- Share on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter that you are joining the #SummerofJoy movement. I’ve provided some images at the end of this page that you can easily share on social media.
- Take a picture of your #SummerofJoy moments throughout this summer and post them on social media using the hashtag #SummerofJoy in your caption. Why? To inspire others to do the same (because we all need more joy in our lives) and also to keep yourself accountable.
- Ask a friend to do this challenge with you and check in on each other daily to make sure you’re doing it.
- Sign up to our #SummerofJoy mailing list below so I can check in on you and remind you to take charge of your summer. I will also send you weekly ideas of things you can every day that might bring you joy, even if you live a crazy busy life.
If you have children have them join you
Finding your own joy is important but so is connecting with your children. When your children feel connected to you, they are more willing to accept your guidance and they grow to be confident, happy and independent children.
Use your #SummerofJoy time to spend quality time with your kids. Immerse yourself in a single activity where everyone is present (no cell phones allowed), and do something that is fun for everyone.
Children are able to live in the moment and experience true joy. Allow yourself to forget about everything else for a bit and just be there fully present with your children.
Choose joy, with them.
INSPIRE OTHERS AND STAY ACCOUNTABLE:
let friends and family know you are doing the #SummerofJoy challenge
Psst, don't forget to use the #SummerofJoy hashtag when sharing on social media!
Why? To inspire others to do the same (because we all need more joy in our lives) and also to keep yourself accountable.
The #SummerofJoy challenge ends on August 31st, 2019
Life is too precious to spend it doing things we don’t love and while we all have to do things to support ourselves financially that might not be joyful, there are plenty of moments throughout the day that can fill us with joy.
When we lead a life that focuses on seeing the joy in every day things, our life becomes more enjoyable, we become happier and more successful, and our view of the world changes.
Start doing more things that bring you joy, today! You can’t afford not to.
Have questions? We have answers!
My name is Carolina, I am the founder of mamainstincts.com, a writer, speaker and most importantly, a mother of two little girls who have taught me how precious life truly is.
I am on a mission to inspire people to live a joyful life, to follow their intuition and to live their best lives…because IT IS POSSIBLE!
Focusing on joy has changed my life and I know it can change yours too, and that’s why I created this FREE challenge.
What’s in it for me? Creating a better world for our children and bringing together people on social media who want to live a better life because there’s power when a lot of us come together. So much power.
Where is the best place to follow me? On Instagram, specifically, Instagram stories. I’m always on there sharing ways to bring more joy into your life so I hope to see you there!
About a year ago I had a breakdown and realized I was living a life that didn’t bring me much joy because I was too stressed out about things I had, ultimately, no control over.
I started focusing on the things that brought me joy and started carving out time of my day to do something that would inspire me.
Although my external circumstances are pretty similar to what they were a year ago, my entire life has changed.
I am a happier, more fulfilled person, I became a more peaceful parent, I started finding even more time to do things that make me happy, I started finding joy in things I hated doing before and I even started making more money.
By focusing on what brought me joy, my life changed. It’s been such a powerful transformation that I want you to experience it too. Do it just for this summer and see how it impacts your life. What have you got to lose?
Joy is found in our every day lives. If we had to take an epic vacation to find joy, we’d be all pretty miserable.
Joy is found in little things, like having coffee and enjoying every sip, eating a delicious meal, listening to your favorite podcast, reading an inspiring book, taking a bath, having some quiet time after a long day, looking at the magnificent trees growing on your street, playing with your kids, or simply feeling grateful for being alive.
Joy is a state of being, it’s a feeling inside of you. The activity is meant to spark this feeling, to remind you what living in a state of joy feels like.
You can even do nothing and still feel joy. That is, the ultimate goal!
Our emotions are the language of our soul. What brings one person joy, might not bring the next person joy and that is okay.
If it makes you feel good and happy, you are doing it right because it’s bringing you joy.
Do things that excited you, that feel fun, that you feel like doing, that bring you peace, laughter or inspiration.
And be aware of everything around you, when you pause and become aware of your surroundings, and focus on feeling happiness, you will experience joy.
If you’re not aware of your moment of joy, you will miss the transformation that happens when you are consciously choosing joy.
Here’s an example of how to be fully present: If your moment of joy will be to sit outside in your yard for 10 minutes, you will pay attention to the birds, look at the leaves being blown by the wind, smell the fresh air, touch the grass, look at all the beautiful nature surrounding you, become aware with all your 5 senses of your surroundings, feel happy and grateful that you are alive and can experience this moment.
Being grateful is a great way to stay in that moment of joy!
Joy comes from every day things. If you find yourself in bed realizing you didn’t carve out time for your #SummerofJoy activity, then you do it right then and read.
Read a book, think about 5 things you’re grateful for, listen to an uplifting song, look at pictures from your day, do whatever you can in bed that will make you feel happy and joyful.
If you can’t come up with an activity, just think about 5 things you’re grateful for. That in itself, will put you in state of joy.
Absolutely not! I am here to enjoy my own #SummerOfJoy and wanted to share it with others. I would love to see more people taking a pause to enjoy life…because this has changed my own life.
This is 100% free, no strings attached. This challenge benefits you, and you only. (Well, and probably also benefits those around you since you will become a happier person.)
