Who doesn’t love Halloween? You get to dress up and at the end of the night you end up with a lot of candy! I have to admit as a kid I loved getting all that candy but now that I’m a parent I am not too happy about my kids having so much (crappy) candy so I started looking for candy alternatives for Halloween night.
One way to to avoid all this candy is telling your kid about the Switch Witch. She’s a witch that comes on Halloween night to take all the candy you left for her and in return she leaves you a gift. I like this because my kids get to eat some candy on Halloween and then they set aside the rest for the Switch Witch.
However, this doesn’t solve the problem of getting way too much (unnecessary) candy on Halloween night. I know we could skip trick-or-treating but that is not something we want to do since Halloween is a very fun holiday for us.
This year I’ve decided I’m going to give out fun little treats that are not candy nor chocolate and I am sure all the parents stopping by our house will appreciate this. I want to share with you the awesome little treats I found in case you also want to give out a non-candy treats on Halloween.
If you like going shopping I recommend you visit Target’s Halloween section. They had an entire isle of little fun and creepy toys for trick-or-treaters. I am sure other big stores have probably sections like these too. I even saw a huge bag of Halloween Play-Doh at Costco.
However, if you prefer the convenience of ordering these treats online (like I do) then check out my favorite picks for the best non-candy Halloween treats for trick-or-treaters. I’ve divide the list in two: the first half is made out of single packs of the same toy and the second half is for bundled toys.
I prefer this last option since you get your money’s worth and I find it’s cheaper than buying the toys I saw in Target or buying each type of toy separately.
