“It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” – This phrase sums up how I feel about the Holidays. I grew up in a home where my mom made the Holidays feels so magical to me and now that I am parent myself, I am doing the same with my kids.
To me, the holidays are all about spending more time with family, creating life-long memories and lots and lots of Christmas lights. Some of my best Christmas memories are walking around parks and neighborhoods looking at light displays. So when Enchant Christmas invited my family to their event, I immediately said yes! A huge and epic light display? Count us in!
And let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint! Walking into Enchant Christmas is like walking into Christmas magic! I am not sure who was more excited, me or the kids. But what really filled my heart with joy was to see the look on my kids’ faces when we first walked in and saw all those lights!
So, if you’re wondering if Enchant Christmas is worth going to, in my opinion, it really is! We were there for 4 hours and only left because it was past my kids bedtime! That’s how much my entire family loved it.
However, I know as a parent, most of us want more information before deciding if an event is right for our families so I’m going to tell you all you need to know about Enchant Christmas.
What is Enchant Christmas?
Enchant Christmas is one of the most magical Christmas experiences in the world – seriously! And this is coming from someone who has experienced Christmas in the US, in Costa Rica and a handful of European countries.
Enchant Christmas is an impressive and huge maze made out of Christmas lights. Yes, the entire maze is made out of lights – the walls, the decorations, everything. And right at the center of it all is an animated Christmas tree that stands at 100 ft. Tall.
Entering into Enchant Christmas feels like you’re entering into a Christmas Village. The maze is at the heart of it all but you can also find an ice skating rink, food, drinks, all kinds of treats and even Christmas gifts made by local vendors. And of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus are there too!
While walking around the village you will run into live music performances and our favorite, elves! The elves are thought the entire village and they’re funny and friendly. It really makes it feel like you’re in the North Pole.
When you enter the light maze part of Enchant you are greeted with elves, and they will tell you that a Mischievous Elf lost some Christmas toys and now you have to find them. My kids were thrilled about this part! You get a scratch card and start walking around the maze trying to find all the missing toys.
These missing toys are actually huge structures made out of Christmas lights! There are honestly no words to express how impressive this entire light display is. My kids were running and screaming in excitement the entire time!
It’s also a great place to take cute family pics! The lights really make it feel so magical!

What can you do at Enchant Christmas?
Enchant Christmas is an entire Christmas Village experience! The first thing you notice when you enter is the enormous tree and the light maze but there’s so much more to Enchant Christmas than that.
You will find a huge and magical looking ice skating rink surrounded by beautiful Christmas lights. There are also lots of local vendors selling foods, all sorts of gifts, yummy treats and even special drinks. My husband and I enjoyed the mulled wine and a Bailey’s hot chocolate!
Theres also a section called the Little Ones’ Play Place which has kid-friendly activities and crafts and even story time with Mrs. Claus.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a Christmas Village without Santa! At Santa’s landing your child can meet Santa and even get their pictures taken.
We got to meet Santa during the media event we attended to and were so impressed. Santa had some really cute stories to tell my children! It felt like such a magical experience.

Is Enchant Christmas fun for toddlers and little kids?
Absolutely! You will see people of all ages but I feel that Enchant Christmas is truly magical for kids! There’s plenty of room for the kids to run around, scream and get as excited as they want to while being immersed in a full Christmas light experience.
The staff is also very kid friendly and if your child speaks to the elves, they will learn all sorts of things about what is like being an elf! As a mom of 2 curious little ones I appreciated how the elves stayed on character and were patient enough to answer all of my kids questions.
Can you buy food at Enchant Christmas?
Yes! Enchant Christmas is set up in different stadium across the country and these stadiums have policies on food and drinks so you’re not allowed to bring outside food nor drinks. The only exception is baby food and milk for babies. However, there are plenty of food and drink options once you enter Enchant.
They also have food options that are gluten-free and vegan.
You can buy an entire meal or simply get snacks! There is a little bit of everything.
You can also get alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. They truly have something for everyone, from little ones to adults!
How much time do you need to experience Enchant Christmas?
I would suggest you plan for, at least, 2 hours so you can experience the entire Light Maze. We did the maze, ice skating, met with Santa, had food and drinks and briefly walked around the village and we were there for 4 hours.
If you’re attending this event, I would make it the only thing you do that day and make a day out of it. Get your money’s worth and stay as long as your kids want to.
There is a no re-entry policy so once you leave the event, you are not allowed to reenter.
Other important things for parents to know about Enchant Christmas:
- The event is cashless for the safety of their employees but they accept cards and contactless forms of payments like Apple Pay and Google Pay.
- Strollers are allowed in the Village but they are not allowed inside the Maze. There is stroller parking available.
- If you are skating, there is no need to bring your own skates. In fact, it is not allowed. They offer skates that have been sanitized. Ice Skating is a timed-entry, add-on ticket option with limited availability. The cost is an extra $18.
- Each location has a designated sensory room for people with Autism or sensory issues who need. You can learn more about it here. If you have a child with sensory issues, watch my video above on Enchant to make sure they can handle the light display. There are lights everywhere, some flickering, and background music.
- There is free WiFi throughout the Village.
- KIDS FREE WEDNESDAY: On select Wednesday nights throughout the season you can get one FREE child’s ticket when you buy any Adult, Senior, or Military admission ticket.
Enchant Christmas in St. Petersburg, Florida Review
We have experienced Enchant Christmas in Washington, DC in 2019 and in 2021 we got to experience Enchant in St. Petersburg, FL because we moved to Florida earlier that year.
The best part of Enchant Christmas in Florida is that it’s not cold, so you are able to take your time and truly enjoy everything this event has to offer. The event is a the Tropicana field, which means it’s indoors.
Because it is indoors they were able to cover the entire roof, making it dark even during day time hours. The entire roof looks like you’re looking at a starry sky. This means that you can attend Enchant Christmas at 11am and experience the entire light display.
My entire family had such a great experience at the Tropicana field, the staff was great and very kid-friendly, there was plenty of space to walk around without bumping into people and it was overall a very pleasant experience.
As soon as you walk into the stadium you see the amazing light display and the huge Christmas tree right in the middle of it all. When I say it’s impressive I mean it! We all had to stop for a few minutes to enjoy the beautiful lights for afar.
Once you enter the Village, you feel like you’re in Christmas wonderland. The elves are everywhere, there’s live music and of course, Christmas light everywhere you look. The different light structures are simply impressive and some are so big you can walk inside of them.
Our family really enjoyed ice skating too! It was our first time ice skating without being cold so this was the longest time our kids have ever ice skated!
We even chatted with one of their staff members and he told us it took the entire team 3 weeks to build this display. They worked 6 days a week, many hours a day, and once you are seeing it all, you can see why! It’s truly a masterpiece.
The maze also has Christmas music in the background, making it feel even more magical! One of our favorite parts was walking under the tunnel of lights, dancing inside the Christmas tree and walking under the a rainfall of lights.
Bring your cameras because you will want to take many pictures and videos!
We had such a great experience we are planning on going again! If you’re looking for a unique and unforgettable experience this Holiday season visit Enchant Christmas! You won’t regret it!
