When it comes to toys that will go into my baby’s mouth I am very picky and avoid plastic as much as I can because there are many chemicals in plastic that I don’t want in my baby’s body, such as Dioxins, PVC, BPA and Phthalates. Both my kids love to chew toys and bath time is no different. Whatever goes into the tub it will go into their mouth so I knew I had to find non-toxic bath toys.
Not all toys are created equally and now you can find many brands that are committed to creating safer toys for our babies. However, most of these safer brands have toys made out of wood so finding toys that would hold up well in water was a little challenging. After looking hard I found several toys that my babies can bathe with and that they love.
The best part is that all these toys have held up very well! They have been used from the time my babies were small up until, well, my 3 year old still loves playing with them. I’m not sure when toys in the bath will stop being fun!
I want to share these toys with you so you don’t have to spend hours finding them, like I did.
Green toys has a fun selection of bath toys that are safe for babies but our favorite ones are:
Another one of our favorite brands is Hevea, these toys are made with natural rubber.
Boon toys is another brand we use and love because their toys are PVC, phthalate and BPA free. Most of our bath toys are from Boon since this is the first brand I found with non-toxic bath toys when my first daughter was born.
One of my favorite things about Boon is their storage for bath toys. We have had it for 3 years now!
Another favorite non-toxic bath toy brand is Moluk. They have very original looking toys with really cool features. My 3 year old is obsessed with these two:
The final bath toy I want to share with you is the Geomag GBaby Baby Sea. These are magnetic shapes and rubber animals that can be used both in or out of the bath. They come with 4 spherical, 2 round and 1 square magnetic shapes and 4 soft rubber animals.
That’s my list for non-toxic bath toys!
Is there any other toy you love and use? I’d love hear about it in the comments below.
