Does your favorite fella suffer from dry or rough skin? He might be a little hesitant to try out one of your floral body scrubs but that doesn’t mean you can’t make him his own!
He is going to love these DIY Sugar Scrub Cubes for Men. They will have his skin looking and feeling so amazing, you won’t want to stop snuggling him!
I love making my own body products – for myself and for the special people in my life! By making your own products, you can control the ingredients that you are using and you can ensure that none of the chemicals that you might try to avoid are in the products you are making and using.
And the ingredients are what make these sugar scrub cubes work so well!
Coconut oil is so beneficial for the skin. It’s great at hydrating and decreasing water loss in dry skin. It might also help speed up wound healing! It is also naturally antibacterial and anti-fungal.
Shea butter is also highly moisturizing and great for the skin. It’s nourishing and even anti-inflammatory. It contains a compound called lupeol cinnamate, which was discovered to reduce skin inflammation and may be beneficial for anyone with acne.
Almond oil is a nice, mild oil that is hypoallergenic. It also contains a lot of vitamin E, which is a great antioxidant.
The essential oils I chose for this scrub are fantastic for men because the cedarwood and bergamot are so earthy and the lemon and orange lift those scents up with their pop of citrus.
The sugar makes an awesome natural exfoliant and will help remove dead skin cells. Sugar is also a humectant, which means it will help draw moisture into the skin to help keep it hydrated.

Add your sugar to the bowl and, using a spoon, mix in the sugar. Add in the lemon zest and then add in the food coloring if you’re using it.
Mix together until a thick paste is formed.
Press into a square mold and top with some additional lemon zest if desired.
Put the mold in the fridge so the mixture sets fast. Then, remove from mold and store in an airtight containers.
If you won’t be using this soon, or keep your home warm, store the DIY sugar cubes in an airtight glass jar in the refrigerator until ready to use.
To use: Grab a cube and rub it all over your body when taking a shower. Focus on areas with thicker skin, like elbow, knees and feet, but make sure you don’t miss any part. Rinse off and then pat dry your skin.
Use these scrubs once a week to keep your skin feeling fresh.
If you’re making these for your partner, you can also use them for yourself. I just made this specifically for men by adding a scent they would like better – my husband loves it!
They also make for a great Father’s day gift or birthday gift; and one that your kids can help you make!
