I seriously can’t get over how tender and juicy these Instant Pot Chicken Wings are. They’re definitely better than anything you get at a restaurant and the best part? You control how hot they are.
These wings are perfect for feeding to the kids — and everyone else that might like a little bit more spice.
Plus, it’s an Instant Pot recipe, so, of course it’s ridiculously easy and fast. I am definitely putting this on the list of my favorite easy weeknight dinners.
And I know, I know, you’re probably like “is the Instant Pot really all THAT fast?!” Yes.
Yes, it’s that fast. Because these chicken wings would have taken 4-6 hours in the slow cooker or 35-45 minutes in the oven.
The Instant Pot makes these wings in only 17 minutes. Seriously. Just 17. And that’s being generous on how long it takes to pull together the ingredients and toss them on top of the chicken wings because the actual cooking time is about 5 minutes!
So, if you’re on the fence about Instant Pot still, I’m cheering you on, because I have seriously used my Instant Pot to make just about everything and all the recipes are easier and quicker. From desserts to dinners, lunches, snacks and even breakfast, my Instant Pot gets a workout — and it’s awesome.
I use the pressure cooker all the time, multiple times a week — sometimes multiple times a day. Just gather all of your ingredients, pop them into the pot, set it and walk away!
What You Need to Make Instant Pot Chicken Wings
- 3 pounds frozen chicken wings
- ½ cup tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried ground coriander
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Optional: garlic powder, but only if you like that on your wings
How to Make Instant Pot Chicken Wings
After preparing wings by removing the ends and cutting the two larger pieces apart, as desired, place the wings in the inner pot of your 6 quart Instant Pot.
Combine the tomato sauce, dried coriander, Worcestershire sauce and honey. Then pour over the chicken wings.
Place the butter on top of the chicken.
Cook on high pressure for a cook time of 6 minutes.
Do a quick release, then remove chicken wings and place them in a single layer a prepared baking sheet — meaning lined, line it with a silicone sheet or wax paper. No need to pat dry the wings (see I told you super easy). And no need to natural release, unless you just want to sit and wait around for awhile and maybe drink a cup of water or help the kids with homework.
Broil the wings on high for 5-6 minutes or until the tops are lightly browned or ‘grilled’ look has been achieved.
Serve with some extra bbq sauce or hot sauce–you can even put them in a bowl and toss to coat them if you want. I just want you to enjoy these fall off the bone
